Brewed with our friends Freestyle Hops during their recent visit to Vermont, Dead Flowers is an India Pale Ale featuring their select Riwaka and Southern Cross hops.
This beer is truly a beauty, presenting notes of fresh melon, tropical fruit juice, a hint of lime, and an overall experience that reminds of us of a creamsicle.
Huge thank you to the Freestyle team for working with us on this one. We had a blast with you and are already looking forward to next years visit.

Pours a hazy yellow from a can. I've had this twice now, my notes from the first tasting are "smells like sesame crackers, similar flavor along with some lemon". Trying it now I think the lemon is a little more pronounced than my original comment, but the sesame cracker is spot on, like the kind you get in bar mix. Quite sweet.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of melon with a bit of citrus, some mango and a light sweet grain backbone. Flavor has melon and mango with slightly dank citrus and a bit of sweet grain underlying.

Can (5/17/23) pour from The Beer Store, Salem. It's a deeply hazy yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width white foam head w/good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit, dank vegetal, lime, bit of creamsicle, yeast. Taste is melon, tropical fruit, tart fruit, candied orange and lime. Mouthfeel is smooth, soft with juicy finish. Delivers what they were going for. Good strength and decent complexity.
