Bottle that we picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm on Saturday. Drinking this Monday 16th December 2024 listening to Steve Lamaqs evening session on 6Music cooking Beef Carbonnade Pies with Potato Croquettes, Carrots and gravy. Pours clear dark amber with a fast disappearing white head. It's a touch boozier than I'd like but not harsh. Nice mouthfeel, smooth, sweet with molasses and a little dried fruit, perhaps date? Yeah fine but I was hoping for a bit better.

Bottle. Brown color. Malt and dried fruit in the aroma. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor with hints of roast and dried fruit. Sticky mouthfeel. Powerful bock with a firm roasty alcoholic finish.

Hofmann Doppelbock, Fläschchen von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Schönes Goldrotbraun, fast klar; üppiger Schaum. - Milde Nase mit tiefem karamelligen Malz, Honig, Toast und Kräutern. - Antrunk breit brotig-karamellig malzig mit Trockenobst (Aprikose). Schwere Malzsüße mit Honig, an der Grenze zum Sirupartigen. Milde aber nicht zu knappe herbale Hopfenherbe. Gut rezent, vollmundig, angenehme wärmende Alkoholpräsenz. Im Abgang etwas verwaschene krautige Herbe, ein wenig Pfeffer. - Solider fränkischer Bock, dem es vielleicht ein wenig an Pep oder Individualität fehlt.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at HBF2016) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molassess, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had molasses and bitterness. A well done doppelbock.

Bottle. Amber, golden creamy head. Honey, light spice aroma. Meadlike honey notes, burned sugar, peppery spcy side, herbal and grassy finish. Fullbodied, solid mouthfeel. Sweet spicy aftertaste.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelgoldenes Bier mit geringer Shaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack stark malzig fruchtig, getreidig, alkoholisch.

clear darker golden colour, moderate head, which disappears within few minutes; aroma of green apple, caramel, and biscuit; taste is dominated by malty sweetness with fruity notes (apple again) and hints of alcohol; correct doppelbock

Dark golden coloured with a small off white head. Sweet aroma of malts, caramel and fruits. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel, bread and hops.

Süßer Malzantrunk, hell würzig. Im Mittelteil deutlich intensiver, eng fruchtig, passend hopfig hinter der Süße. Hell brotige Noten, vollmundig, im Nachgeschmack kurz brennend alkoholisch. 10/12/11/12/11/11
