Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Dark brown color, small off - white lacing. Aroma is rotting leaves. Taste malts, some sweetness, leaves, some kind of salty sourishness. Average to medium body and carbonation. Meh.

Not much to this beer except for the ABV. Pours dark reddish brown, almost no head, aroma of raisins and dried fruit, the alcohol is even apparent in the nose. Taste is sweet, prunes, dark chocolate, rye bread. Slight lingering sweetness, and evident alcohol burn. Not as bad as I was prepared for....

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2012. It’s a dark brown beer, unclear in the glass, and topped by a small, dense, offf-white head. The aroma has caramel, bread, nuts and figs, and a healthy dose of alcohol. Quite sweetish. There’s some chocolate in the flavor, else it’s pretty much like the aroma, some bitterness chiming in towards the very end. Full-bodied, sticky and warming on the palate. Although it’s too sweet and warming, it’s a quite decent beer, but not a beer I could have a bottle of on my own. 120512

Dark brown with minimal head. Malty, clove and wheat in the aroma and taste. And much alcohol.

Draught @ CBF 2012
Pours deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, oxidization and dried fruits. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long malty, sweet finish. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is flat.

Draught @ Ølfestival København 2012
Aroma is sweet with wheaty notes and some ripe bananas. Very sweet flavour with ripe bananas, some sugar, and dark, ripe fruits and berries. Warming alcohol does not come through too much. Sticky stuff, some similarities with Aventinus Weizen‐Eisbock. This just is much stronger. Nice.

Sample from bottle, CBF 2012. Clear, deep amber-brown colour, no head. Very sweet aroma with caramel, syrup and dark fruits. Heavy sweet taste. Full body with a sticky, thick texture. Long lasting sweet finish with caramel, lots of malts, sweet dark fruits, only a little bit of alcohol. No traceable wheat. Hides the 16% abv. very well. Obviously an unusual beer to rate, has some qualities but scores low on drinkability. Glad I´d tried it.

Bottle. Very vinous aroma. Black colour. Very small head. The flavour is extremely sweet. Some yeast, slightly roasted. Does not taste boozy, somehow...
