500 flip-top from Wine & Cheese. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma is light caramel. Med body or almost. Flavor is light caramel with mere hints of saaz spice. Spice develops more with time, but mostly this is a slightly cooked light malt flavor. It’s not really sweet, but not at all dry, and it is pretty far from bitter.

500ml flip top bottle. Filtered dingy yellow-tan body, classic look for the style. A pretty solid example, lots fruity yeast tones, with mellow lagering notes, and a smooth quality golden malt backbone. Nice balancing noble hops in the aftertaste. Clean, well crafted, enjoyable beer.

Pour is a crystal clear yellow with a average white head. Aroma is sweet malt with some butterscotch. Flavor is a thick syrupy malt bit nothing after that. Finish is watery and nothing. I’d take any American take on this style over this.

Bottle, courtesy of MiP. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast. Sweetish, estery and malty flavour, with bitter notes of hops. Sweetish aftertaste. Distinctible alcohol presence, quite above the ABV stated on the label. Just average for the style.

500 ml swingtop bottle, from Fleggaard, Harrislee. ABV is 6.9%. Pale golden colour, large white head. Fairly strong sweetish and grassy aroma, herbal notes too. Medium sweet and somewhat sugary flavour, some hops are around, but not enough to balance the sweetness.
