12 oz. can from HEB, Boerne, TX. Happy 4th of July! Pours a clear, very dark amber color with a beige head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Light caramel malt aroma. Sweet caramel, brown sugar, and molasses flavor with an odd tangy finish. Light body. (Too) low carbonation. No bitterness. A little lifeless. Past it's prime? Disappointing.

6 October 2022. At The Dooryard, San Antonio. Shared with the lovely Anke!

A: clear dark amber, stable, foamy, tan head.
A: tea leaves & cold tea, earth, dried plum, soap.
T: sweetish apple, plum, tea & herbs.
F: herbal hops, dried fruit, more dry tea leaves.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Pleasant although it remains understated.
