To honor Billie in the best way we could, we dedicated one of our Bourbon Rum barrels (Gamma) to this one-off brew. We lagered a special version of Base: Black for 4 months on the barrel and we will bring the barrel to the festival! Your only chance to taste this beer will be BCBF 2022

Pours black, medium to medium large tanned head. Scent is simple, alcohol, not very complex nor balanced aroma's. Taste is sharp, boozy, barrel-bite, chewy. No very balanced. Sweet. OK.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022, Friday Session. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of intense dark roasted malt, coffee, wood. Taste of strong dark roasted malt, whiskey, wood.

Clear pitch black beer, no head at all. Aroma: good roast, coffee, a little chemical, plastic, burned rubber, some dark chocolate, uh oh, something went wrong during fermentation? The roast is covering it up but only partially. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: weird, unpleasant bitterness, very chemical, rubbery, plastic, nope. Aftertaste: spicy touch, some nutmeg maybe, bitter, more chemical notes, roasted, burned rubber, nope, this is not good.

Straight from wooden barrel @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022.
Noire, huileux doré au verre.
Arôme sur un bouquet malté, caramel pâle, chocolat, vanille avec une sensation de sucre de canne fermenté.
Palais est faible en effervescence, petite douceur résiduelle avec un retour adouci de vanille/Bourbon - finit sur des pointes de fruits noirs - prunes.
