Some beers require a very special attention... This monster required 3 mashes and 4 to 5 hours of boiling. 33 Plato (even our hydrometer wasn't ready for that!), 14% and all that without any simple sugar added, 100% pure malt! After a long fermentation, we transferred it to Rum barrels for almost a year and finished it with beautiful vanilla beans.

Can from the brewery. Full body, medium carbonation. Moderate warmth, definite ethanol presence but rounded, well aged, pleasant for sipping. Lots of chocolate malt character, much less coffeeish deep roast. Medium rum and light wood influence. Rich, intense. Big, bold, good.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022, Friday Session. A black beer with a beige head. Aroma and Taste of sweet strong dark malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, very nice.

Clear black beer, no head. Aroma: oh yes, all tonka, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, a hint of cinnamon, more chocolate and chocolate milk, I love it! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: oh yes, this one delivers, all chocolate milk, gentle roast, a bit sweet, vanilla notes, some dark caramel, a bit sugary, lots of alcohol but also lots of flavour, tonka beans, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: sweet, lots of alcohol, spicy touch, tonka beans, nice one, I love it!

Draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022. Iic, aussi cette evrsion était servie bcp trop froide et sans aucun col. Le tout a donc reposé un bon 45min avant dégustation.
Noir profond quasi obsidienne.
Arôme est prononcé sur les malts - ici, pléiade de malts entre caramel, grillé, café, chocolaté, dark sugar et des notes de biscuité avec un caractère réchauffant en bouche de l'alcool. L'apport de barrique de rum donne une certaine fraicheur en rétro.
Palais est épais centré sur une grosse claque de malts - chocolaté, caramel, grillé/biscuité - effet un peu organique de l'apport rum - résiduel sucré, finement collant aux lèvres.
