Even its appearance is pleasing to the eye. Helle looks just like a beery beer should: radiant, glowing gold, fine and glossy, crowned with a luminous white, fine-pored froth. The bitterness is pleasantly present, without pushing too much into the foreground. It supports the excellent "quaffability" that ends in a harmonious curve. Original wort: 12,4º.

On tap at the brewery. Clear pale golden with lasting white head. Malty, sweet, grainy. Easy going and smooth. Light bodied.

Clear gold with a frothy white head that lingers. Aroma of grains and metals. Faint putridness. Taste is more forgiving: an almost delicate and mild sweetness with the bitterness quotient picking up at the finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Definitely a mixed experience. Tasty if your sinuses are blocked.

50cl Fles van Brecht. Diep goudgeel, witte kraag. Aroma is zoet-moutig en wat maïs, gras, honing, iets bloemig. Smaak is zoet, moutig, bloemig, iets van citroenschil, licht bittere finish. Lichte body, vol mondgevoel. Ik hou hier wel van.

500 ml bottle. Pale clear golden, fluffy head. Biscuit malts, hay, bread, citrus, some booze. Malty sweetness, light dry bitterness. Medium bodied, lively carbonated, dry finish. Rather sweet and unusual Helles, which gets better with every sip.
