Pati (of Dry & Bitter) and Nate (of Sudden Death) have a mantra for collabs: ‘let’s brew something easy’ it goes. Okay – maybe it’s always been Pati’s mantra, but Nate likes it a lot. So they brewed something easy. For Dave, Dry & Bitter’s graphic designer. Because Dave is not only a wonderful human being, but Dave also loves introductions.
NOTE: Despite an extended conditioning time, this beer has chill haze. It should be totally clear, however it has a cloudy appearance. Worry not, it’s still very much an ESB.

Finding this can at Stumpf Getränkmarkt, in august 2023. Opening it yesterday, before to go to one Colombian party. Perfect bitter/pale ale brewed on the American way, full body, cereals, oat, floral bitterness, a bit yeasty, just good. 21.07.2024

Can. Pours cloudy amber, medium small, stable white head. Scent is meadium mild, some malts, tad caramelly. continental, herbal hops. Taste is malty, fairly creamy, caramel-focussed, mild bitternes, green oily hopy notes (medium mild) . Lower carbo. Easy drinkable, as it should be for the style. Perhaps not overly convincing, but certainly emptying the can with pleasure.

Draught Head gone in seconds; hazy ochre-amber beer. Honey, toasted/Crystal malts, UK hops. UK hops & malts in the mouth, nail on the head. Cookie, biscuit, no bitterness, nor any excess sweetness. Light body, slick, feels better carbonated than it looks. Quite decent - just asking for a cask version.
