29/5/2024. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear dark vibrant red with minimally bubbly head. Aroma is dry, vinous, berries, cherries, honey, flowers, slight wood hints. Medium plus sweetness with nice tangy tartness. Medium to full body, oily/sticky/medicinal mouthfeel, very little carbonation. Lovely fruity sipper mead.

375ml bottle from Brew Cavern. 2020 Vintage. Deep red colour, some bubbles on top that slowly dissipate and aroma of raspberry, red wine. Taste is sweet, cherry, raspberry, red wine, with some tartness and mellow acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering vinous berry finish. Very drinkable.

KYGG 080423. Purle / Deep red color with no head. Aroma is honey, raspberries, cherries. Flavor is honey, raspberries, cherries, red wine, spices. Nice mead.

Pours deep red with no head. Aroma is very sweet with notes of honey, raspberry and cherry. Taste is heavy sweet with a long sweet, honey, raspberry, cherry and vinous finish. Body is full, texture is sticky and no carbonation.

Bottle, 375cl wine corked. A still, oily and headless one, deep red in color. The aroma has some honey, with lots of raspberry, some cherry and a vinous touch. Red wine. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, with a bit too much sweetness. Raspberry, cherry and some red wine in the flavor. Honey and some spiced hints too. Lasting finish. A bit on the sweet side, but it sure works fine. 230408

Pours dark red, scent is very rough honey - hiding the fruits, even. Taste is full, juicy, but the honey is very loud and rough (plastic) Not my type of melomel, but I can see why people might like it.
