Bourbon & Brandy BA Stout.
Sjaak goes around the brewery giving thumbs up to the brewers, whenever they do something that pleases him. Then suddenly shows up whenever there's a tasting, especially when there's a blending session for the new Barcode or Guild beers. He’s the mythical creature that appears whenever cans open. Smart guy, right?
For this beer in his name, we had to step up the game.
That’s why we dug deep in our barrel amusement park and found the best Bourbon and Brandy barrels.
Making a refined and layered beer with hints of vanilla and chocolate. As the glass slowly warms in the palm of your hand, it develops a beautiful bouquet of flavors. Just like Sjaak’s jokes. Especially after a couple of glasses.

Can shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour with nips of vanilla, dark fruits, well toasted malts, toffee. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, toasted honey, more rich malts, semi-dark fruits. Very tasty and quite drinkable.

Can. Thanks to me. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts, lovely dark chocolate liqueur. Nice barrelling adds ripe fruits and spice. Finishes light and spicy and leaves a chocolate liqueur linger. Rather nice.

Can, big thanks to my bro. It pours darkest brown to pretty much black with a dark tan head. The aroma is rich and decadent, dark roasted malt, toothy, chewy, deep chocolate character, vanilla cake frosting, toffee, coffee, bourbon, mocha, boozy, brandy soaked oak and dull toasted coconut. The taste is slick and oily upfront, rich and chewy, toothy, dry, warming booze, loads of cacao, dark chocolate, vanilla cake frosting, coffee, umami, toasted coconut, warming spice, bourbon, brandy soaked oak, tannin, tart, boozey heat and a touch of dried berry and fruit cake with a dark roasted and toothy finish. Fulsome body, fine to moderate carbonation and thick, oily mouth feel. Thick and decadent. Rich and flavourful. Not too sweet at all. A great big impy.
