Bottle from Papsoe, thanks! Dark brown color. Caramel and cane sugar in the aroma. Sweet alcoholic flavor with caramel, pear and roast. Pear drups in the aftertaste. Lacks balance.

Bottled:
Pours deep ruby with a mid-sized, creamy head. Aroma is sourish red berries with hints of toffee and licorice. Surprisingly thin mouth feel. Flavour is dominated by raspberries with dark syrup and brown sugar in the background. Sweet and warming finish.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy brown colour, moderate off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel and ripe red berries, hints of mild spices. The flavour is smooth and medium sweet, notes of brown kandij sugar and dark fruits, hints of mild spices (but not as pronounced as in some Belgian dubbels). Very drinkable for its strength.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 18 Feb 2012) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Creamy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, caramel, prunes, hints of chocolate, a touch of yeast and a slightly bitter-sweet finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and very nice.

Bottled. Deep murky reddish brown colour, with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, burnt sugar, some yeast, mild ripe fruits as well as raisins. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some quite syrupy notes, dates and mild spruce like notes.

50cl cloudy caramelly brown pour, gigantic thick light brown head. slightly sourish caramelly toffee aroma. flavor is dark ruts, caramel, citrus, faint toffee. Quite a refreshing brew. very sweet, but seweetness is countered by a very faint faint but potent zingy lemony acid/sour flavor.
