Bottle from kappldav123, thanks! Deep dark brown color. Malt, caramel and chocolate in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet flavor with hints of roast, caramel, chocolate cake and cinnamon. Powerful, yet very drinkable and a great balance.

Pours reddish brown from the bottle and leaves a thin but creamy head. The aroma is malty sweet, caramel, light cherry, but overall subdued. Taste is bittersweet, noticeable alcohol. Warming. Feels more alcoholic than the 6.1% on the bottle. Light berry hints on a steady caramel base as we slide into the finish. Medium bodied, smooth, dry. Not bad, but not a lot going on here.

500ml bottle. Clear, darkest brown colour with ruby red glimmer and average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a herbal touch. Taste is dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, treacle, subtle but effective sweetness, a dry, nuttily touch finds the road towards leather but stops halfway. Nice.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle. Malzig-süßlicher Antrunk. Leicht herb im Hauptteil, jedoch noch eine nicht zu deutliche Herbe, Hauch von Lakritz, leicht süßlich-klebrig im Nachgeschmack, nett, aber nicht zu tief.

Good for style. Well drinkable. Brownish pour with good head and lacing. Light sweet and sour mash finish. Some grain. Tap at bar beside blue jacket.

Bottled. A deep red beer with an orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel on a malty background. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear orangey brown with a dense, beige head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and pumpernickel. Full-bodied with a fairly solid roasted malt base and some dried fruit. Some hops to be detected in the finish. 030409
