In this juicy New England DIPA (8.6%) we used no less than 3 different Citra products: T90, Incognito and Yakima Chief’s new Trial 301 Citra. The latter combines the concept of fresh frozen hops with cryo technology. This allows us to use frozen fresh hops during the cold side of the brewing process. Because of that, all the magic aromas of fresh hops blast out this beer! Citra is combined with Galaxy and BRU-1, so expect a lot of citrus, peach and passion fruit in aroma and taste. To bring all different elements together, we chose WHC Juice Machine yeast for the fermentation, a blend of yeasts that produces delicate citrus, apricot and grapefruit esters, perfect for the hazy style.

Pours a murky golden colour and a frothy white head with little retention. Aroma's: dank hops, soft fruit, citrus, resin. Retronasal it's sweetish, resinous, firm citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet, juicy. Medium bodied. Light hopburn. Finishes with soft fruit and very light bitterness.

Tap @ Juova, Helsinki. Poured hazy orange in color. Sweet tropical fruits, mango, pineapple. Ripe fruits. Juicy. Bit stuffy.

A small taste from a friend (tap) @ Juova. Pours hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma is juicy malts. Flavor is juicy malts with some hops. Good.

CD 21/10. Juicy, sweet, lots of tropical nectar, passion fruit. Maybe a tiny bit too sweet, but I can forgive them because the flavour is really nice. Mango, and lots of it.

Op tap bij The Scrapyard. Troebel bleekgele kleur, witte kraag. Citrus, passievrucht, ananas, mandarijntjes, licht romig, licht bitter. Lichte tot medium body. Degelijk, maar een beetje laf voor mijn smaak.

Can. Color: Hazy orange, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, citrus fruit and some tropical fruit. Taste: Hoppy, grassy, orange, pineapple, tangerine, mango notes. Moderate to over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness going to over moderate at the finish. Fruit forward (cryo). Medium body,just below average carbonation. Nice one.
