Another beer I tried at the 3rd Cotteridge Tasting on 20th May 2017. Cheers Martin (SarkyNorthener) for this offering. Clean and clear light golden body, white crown. Malty nose and taste, just enough hop presence and bitterness to almost balance out the sweetness: actually my sweet tooth thought this a lot better than a lot of the strong lagers I have sampled over the years.

Can at CWC III; clear yellow pour with a tho white head, aroma has hints of malt, taste has adjunct laden sweetness, quite big alcohol.

Can. A gift from SarkyNorthener, who, unlike me, is not a twat. Straw colour. Lots of rising bubbles. Firm, lasting, white head. Solid looker. Nose has sweet, syrupy grain. Some green, leafy hop. Taste is fairly sweet, with some grassy, leafy bitterness. Clean enough mouthfeel for the style and ABV. More sweetness to finish. Barring being a little sweet, this was pretty good.

Bottle at Cotteridge Convention III. Pale gold lasting white head syrupy aroma. European strong lager aroma. It’s a little grainy. Not great.

16.9oz bottle. This is some seriously disgusting stuff, though pretty accurate for the weird oddball cheap style variations of Eastern Europe. Not unlike a Mocne if you will, but a little less disgusting sweet caramel. Cheap and bad, something that tastes like it was brewed in an engine. Horrendous shit, the kind of stuff that makes me roll my eyes when people speak well of the Lithuanian beer world.

Bottle. Lemon, biscuit malt, and astringent hay aroma. Golden yellow with nice white head. Moderately sweet lemon, cardboard, biscuit malt and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent body. My bottle was a bit oxidized but not too bad. Pleasant - minimal harshness/fusels in this one.

Date on base - 22.06.16. Don't think it's fresh. Pastuerised lager. Overcarbonated. Straw. Grass. Lemony. Pastuerisation overkill.

Can from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden with next to no head. Ordinary lager, although not feeling the strength of which it is named after. Has a small bubblegum sweetness throughout its character.
