27th March 2024
Bright clear pale plum colour beer, small bubbly pale apricot colour head. A mild funky sour generic stone fruit nose. Light palate, very light and mildly dry, modest fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, light and thin to the point of being invisible. Light and very mildly tart plum, a super mild to plum wine. Light crisp pine into very mild modern Mosaic candy fruits. Light finish. Fine. Light and inoffensive. I just wish Kernel would ditch the interest in these light funky fruit affairs and concentrate on what they used to be world class at.

Bottle. Pale pink. Sour grains, light yeast and funk, there’s some grassy and zesty hops with some tart cherries but all quite subtle and not overpowering the base beer. It’s maybe less funky than other versions, quite bright and refreshing with a light sweetness. Over light bodied. I like it.
Keg at salty... Soft pink... Thin white lacing... Soft dry fruit... Soft dry cherry... Long dry fruit.. Soft dry cherry
Real armpit and cherry smell. taste is very nice. Cherry with a hoppy background.
Oh dear, this is tasty. One of the more complicated of Kernels beers, displaying their width at making great beers across the board. Bright cherry, light and refreshing. Mosaic is only subtle present, the saison and cherry matter most. Lovely flavour.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the Kernel taproom. Pours mostly clear dull red-pink with a slight, creamy white head. Lightly sweet with subtle acidity, mild cherry tang, some poopy funk, a little pissy mosaic. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Lightly quenching finish, nips of manure, background berries, more pissy hops, pleasant dryness, slight salty bite. Sound.

Keg at Mother Arch 2, 29/09/22. Pink pour with a lasting faded crimson cap. Nose is tarte cherry, light funk, straw, damp cloth, barnyard notes, lemon rind. Taste comprises cherry stones, light acidic tickle, damp straw, funk, sharp cherry notes, citric zest. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, light pucker at the cartoon call. Solid well balanced funky saison with a great bitter / sharp cherry interplay.
