The first spent almost a year ageing in French red wine barrels containing a unique combination of wild micro-organisms, while the second was brewed with a field blend of mixed heritage grains along with Citra and Motueka hops before being fermented in steel.
Crisp, tart, floral and funky with a refreshing winey acidity.

Bottle, 75cl, at Patricks. A hazy golden colored beer with a dense finger thick off-white head. Some lacing. The aroma is fruity and citrusy, with gooseberry, pepper, oak and a light vinous touch. Some funk. It's quite carbonated, dry and pleasantly bittered, with a funky touch. Tropical fruityness, lemon, grapefruit, leather and generic funk, with a hint of oak and pale malts. Lasting fruity finish. Delicious indeed. Sure gonna buy a few bottles of this. 231208

750ml bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy deep golden - amber with a big, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, slightly funky, barnyard, vinous, dry oak, soft fruits, touch of green banana, twist of citrus, stone fruits, apricot, peach and fizzy candy. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, dry oak, funky barnyard, apricot, peach, vinous, straw, hay, grassy, white wine, gooseberry, nip of spice and floury bread with a drying oak finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rounded and vinous. Slightly funky. Fun stuff.
