1/2 pint from the tap at Selden Arms, Worthing, Pours a near black with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of roasted cocoa, herbs & dark malt. Moderate body. Dry finish. Enjoyable

440ml can from the brewery. Poured mostly clear medium brown colour with a thin broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, earthy, light herbal, roasty, chocolate, light pepper spice, liquorice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Black pour with a beige head. Nose is chocolate mousse, caramel, cacao, light smoke. Taste is creamy coffee, caramel, cocoa, more chocolate mousse. Sweet malty finish. Quite a tasty number.

On tap at the Bear, Paddington on 10th May 2023. Solid black with tan foam and scant lacing. Coffee and bitter chocolate roast malt aroma. Cocoa, coffee and a hint of cherry fruits in-mouth, and a finish of mocha coffee and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium to full body.

Can at NYE Weekend black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are malty sweet and chocolate. Slightly thin body.

Deep, dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head. Lovely stout, maybe a touch of vanilla in the nose, and some liquorice going on, roasted malt and then dry bitterness to finish it all off

On tap at Fuggles beer Cafe Tonbridge. 5% at Fuggles Beer Cafe Tonbridge dark brown nearly black beer lasting tan head. roast aroma. coffee. makes me remember my dad's old coffee thermos. coffee dry. depth
