The deep, coppery glow of Troubadour Winter immediately radiates what this winter beer stands for: warmth.
The dark, red colour is achieved by adding special malts that also bring out the flavours of sweet caramel, biscuits and pastry in the beer. The strong fermentation gives it many fruity aromas, a full and warming mouthfeel and an alcohol content of 9.99 % alc. V/V.
The added spices highlight even more the warmth that this winter beer radiates

Bottle drunk on the hottest day of the year... because why not. Nose took a moment to get going; vanilla, pear drops, candied fruit, fruity esters. Taste is fruity, pear drops, candy sugar, banana, candied fruit leading to dried fruit, and a fruity, peppery, nutty and slightly spicy finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Decent.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. Iyr pours clear dark reddish brown with a thick, frothy yellowy beige head. The aroma is roasty, toasted brown bread, estery, melon, pear, apple crumble, dried fruits, toasted fruit cake, warming spice, cinnamon, nutmeg and banana loaf. The taste is dry, bitter, woody, bark, warming spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, resin, banana loaf, brown butter, toasted brown sugars, earthy, tannin, chocolate bourbons, walnut avs some warming booze with a drying, spicy wood finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Robust and toothy. Decent.

Bottle from Asao. Malty caramel nose, spices, coriander, cardemun, licorice. Dark reddish brown with a large off-white, yellowing head. Sweet and spicy, caramel, slightly burnt, vanilla, toffee, spices. Banana esters. Not too sweet, not too heavy. A bit too reliant on spices for me, but not bad.

Foamy off white head left a cover on a dark brown body. Liquorice, spices, malt & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, soft & clean on the back. Caramel, demerara, toffee, malt, vanilla & liquorice tastes with a bitter spiced finish. Very Festive.

Bottle, bb 10/25. Deep amber with an inch of beige head that lasts and laces q well. Aroma of brown bread, bubblegum, some Milo. Moderately sweet with a nice slightly bitter kick. Brown bread, a little dough, chocolate, bubblegum, pepper. Good finish and balance.
