Bottle: Poured a hazy pale yellow ale with a large pure white bubbly head with strong carbonation but not much retention or lacing. Aroma of funky barnyard notes and sour notes are more dominant then expected. Taste is a complex mix between loads of Brett with some tart and sour notes with a dry finish. Body is about average with strong carbonation. Interesting though maybe a tad too sour to be an everyday type of beer.

On tap at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales event. This one poured a clear, plae color with a slightly yellow hue - kind of reminds me of the palest of pale lagers. Aroma was slightly sour, touch of medicinal notes, sour apples. Taste was mild tart funk, with some balanced sweetness. Perhaps a little thin, but hard to really expect otherwise with the ABV being only 3.0%. Very drinkable.

Taster at Bavarian Lodge, May 24. Very pale. Big Flats pale. Nose is more zesty than sour, kind of a raspberry note. A first tiny sip is indeed pretty sour, but with a fruity note surrounding it, like there was lipstick on the glass. I don’t claim to be a sour beer expert, but I’ve drunk enough infected homebrews to appreciate a good example, and this is eminently refreshing. Not slammable for sure, but its sourness does make it sessionable in its way. You can’t help but pucker up at some point in the proceedings.
