Tap @ Borefts 2012. Amber color. Malty, vinous aroma. Malty sweetish, warming alcoholic flavor with vinous notes. Dried fruit and cellar notes in the aftertaste.

75cl bottle @ Finissons ces pétroles tasting, merci Pierre. BB 06/11/2020. Cuivre sur léger trouble, col fin beige Arôme au nez fruité clairement centré sur le vin blanc, le tout avec de belles effluves orientées sur le barley wine, malt caramel, pâle, note pils et possible cristal. Palais est un peu plus dur que pour le Chasselas, retrouve bien le côté barrique avec un niveau alcool bien conséquent. Finement râpeux en bouche, avec un retrait de vin blanc.

Draught @ 4th Borefts Beer Festival 2012, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, caramel, wood, light to moderate hoppy, wood - honey ! Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120928]

Light hazy mahogany brown colour, beige head. Quite hoppy aroma, malts, honey, berries and vinous tones. Quite a bit of marmalade. Sweet malty flavour, light bitter hops, honey, marmalade, light touch of wood. Finish dry and lasting.
My last beer before I had to go back home, way too early. So I had to make a good decision.. And this one delivered, quite a nice beer. Didn’t realise beforehand it had a red wine finish though.

Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Hazy copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar and apple peel with a touch of alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with laquer and hot alcohol, some brown sugar and a harsh alcoholic bitterness in the finish

Tap at De Molen Festival 2012 ... Deep copper brown ... soft roast .. juicy malt nose ... mellow roast...toffee bitter ... herbal honey linger ... soft roast malts .. little woody oak.
