Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Clear, amber colour with a fast fading white head. Sweet aroma with toasted caramel malts, some fruityness. Taste is sweet. Medium body with an oily texture, flat carbonated. Finishes sweet with toasted caramel malts, hints of alcohol and light fruity hops. Too sweet for me.

Malzig-herber, wenig klebriger Antrunk. 7/9/9/8/6/8

33cl Havgassens kabys lundeborg 7.4% not 8.4% as ratebeer states. 5704-7072 barcode.bbf 18-7-2010 dark clear brown, smooth light brown head. caramel and toffee dominates the aroma, also some booze. flavor is caramel and toffee, but also faint roasted stuff. and booze. To me, this doesn’t much resemble barley wine (flavor wise) i was thinking european strong something.

Bottle, 7.4%. Good malty aroma, slightly vinous. Nice clear chestnut colour. Very big and stable tan head. The flavour is very sweet, only slightly balanced by some alcohol. Anisy and peppery finish. Unbalanced.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, minimal head. Fruity nose. Sweet and medium bodied. Sweaty and un-firm, vague notes of coffee and over-ripe plums. Syrupy and strange, but with some odd rustic charm.

Bottled. Sampled 3 years old. A deep red beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is very sweet and quite complex with notes of grain, berries, alcohol, wood, and some spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, berries, grain, brown sugar, and licorice, leading to a dry slightly bitter finish with notes of wood. The body is sirupy.
