Can from Beer52. Dark brown with moderate sized beige head. Aroma of dark malts, sweetness, hay, light citrus, hint of roast. Taste ditto, has a nice balance, hops come through well. Smooth bodied, drying, easy drinking. Very nice.

330ml can from Beer52: BB 6th July 2023. The fourth beer in my mini-tasting session with myself, at home on 17th November 2022. Poured into an old 'Gordon' thistle shaped glass, it's black with a good, stable tanned head. Malty nose, with some dark chocolate and ground coffee esters; roasted and toasted malts rule the aroma and taste really, the chocolate and coffee aroma's and flavours being by-products of the maltiness. I can feel the sand benighted my feet as I pretend I am at the BRLO in Berlin!

Spotty tan head on a dark brown body. Toffee, roasted & coffee aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp clean back. Coffee, liquorice, bitter hops & grapefruit on the finish. So it's says Berlin Stout on the can - nice & straightforward.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy peaty brown pour with a tight tan head; roasted malt aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a milky feeling and a toasted grain taste; then a dry fresh finish with a touch of citrus. An interesting stout.
