Bottle from Papsoe, thanks! Brown color. Caramel in the aroma. Caramelly seet flavor, buttery with bitter nuts and chichory. Sticky mouthfeel.

Flaske (bb. 12.06.14) fra Superbrugsen i Nørrebrogade: rødlig ravfarge med fint filmskum. Aroma og smak av ristet brød, blomsterhonning og litt citrus. Floral bitterhet i avslutningen. Virker som den har tålt tidens tann, og jeg skulle gjerne smakt denne i en litt ferskere utgave.

Post Borefts I Invasion of Fonefan and Charlottes room tasting! Slightly hazy amber beer. Light tangy tea flavoured malt. Very subtle hop in the finish. Inoffensive. Unremarkable.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy copper/amber colour with frothy lacing minimal off-white head. Aroma has grain, milk chocolate, cheese, dark fruit. Taste is earthy strawy dry milk chocolate on a heavier side, fizzy yeasty with an alcohol note on a lighter side. Somewhat indecisive brew.

500 ml bottle, as Klosterbryggeriet Dubbel Ale, "Christian 3." is not mentioned on the label. ABV is 6.0%. Bought at Voldby Købmandsgård. Amber to copper colour, large off-white head. Nice fruity aroma (dark fruits/berries), also notes of caramel, brown kandij sugar and mild spices. Sweet and malty flavour with plenty of caramel and brown kandij sugar, also mild spicy notes. The bitterness is moderate, so the wormwood must have been use sparingly. Nice enough to drink.

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, amber beer with a small, off-white head. Interesting nose with citrus, herbs and spices, some toffee, and bread. The flavor has a harsh herbal bitterness that I don’t like, but the rest is fine, bread, caramel and fruits. Some bitterness rounds it off. Medium body, dry. Overall, not very good, interesting aroma, but the flavor is definately not top notch. 091023
