On tap at Billie’s, Saturday. It’s excessively, intensely boozy and quite thin, which is a shame really, because otherwise it would’ve been a pretty nice beer; the flavour profile is on point.

Bottle. Dark brown, coffee foam. Aroma: sweet, caramel, wood, oak, bourbon, rum, a little sweetness and mold, hazelnuts, a little spicy. Taste: sweetish with mushroom or mold, rum, bourbon, caramel, warms, good idea, but some troubles with barrel.

17th September 2023 Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Smooth rich dark malts, good chocolate vibe, some chocolate fudge and creamy chocolate malts. Estery rum and a mild damp barrel vibe that maybe, just maybe, other raters have described as mould. No mould for me anyway. Fruity soft bourbon with a nice vanilla kick. Maybe some honeycomb and nutty things going on, if you're looking for them but back end is more of the dominant estery rum. Actually, as the beer warms up, the honeycomb is pretty obvious as well and fits in nicely. Nice brew, lots going on. Just a bit heavy on the estery rum. Still, very nice.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is musty mouldy nuts, chocolate, bourbon, taste is sweet toffee, vanilla, raisin, chocolate, more mouldy notes from the hazelnut.
