Brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit, brown sugar and a hint of green apple. Sweet brown sugar and fruit flavour. Put on the market before it was ready to drink. Grade 3.4
In 2012: Has grown amazingly. Caramel, molasses, dark fruits and a great oak character. Sweet, but balanced

Bottle 375ml @ home
Pours clear dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of oak, sweet malt, licorice, and fruity hops. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is full, texture is oily with soft carbonation. By far the best christmas beer I have tasted.

Massive thanks to Ken. Bottle at The Euston Tap. Lots of vanilla on the barrel smells of new new American oak. Rather good malt and some vanlla. Good red wine notes Good but not spectacular.

Bottle @ Carlsens Kvarter, Odense. Pours dark brown with a small white head and lacings. The barrel is really dominating - quite one dimensional. Quite nice nevertheless. Red Wine, Dark, fruit, Rye, caramel and sugar!

Bottle @ Ølkonsortiet Xmasbeer tasting. Pours dark reddish brown, small light brown head.Nose is redvine, vanila, oak, brown sugar, some dark fruit, Xmas spices, cinnamon. Taste is much like the aroma, dark fruit, redvine, sweet vanila, oak, orangepeel, chocolate, caramel. Full bodied, low carbonation, long lasting finish. Im surprised how well the agening have worked here, the rather harsh spurce / pine notes from the original beer have been smoothed really well. Great beer 101106

Muddy dark red-brown beer with medium yellow-cream head. Quite fruity nose, vanilla, alcohol, raisins on jenever, hot mulled wine spices, but fruitesters maintaining the upper hand. Liqueurish flavour, cherries and plums on spirit, brandy; orange with clove on chocolate cake - sangria made from beer. Rich, creamy, alcoholwarming; yet spritzy, and drinking away soft-drinklike. Excellent, great winter ale, period.
