(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy, vinous nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit, cinnamon, anise, orange peel, red wine, oak wood and some cellar aromas. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, red wine, brown sugar, spices (cinnamon, anise), dark bread, orange peel and a slightly vinous finish with a balanced spicy bitterness and a slight alcohol glow. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Warming and spicy, with a certain wood character. Very nice.

Bottle split at Chriso Easter tasting, 04/04/15. Mahogany brown with a decent light tan covering that retains well. Nose is rich dark fruit rinds, spice, plummy notes, fruit cake mix, subtle BA notes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light booze streak. Decent BA Belgo offering has held up well age wise.

Bottle shared at CPK, London - one of my contributions. Pours dark amber with a large, tan cream head. Dark berries in the nose, some alcohol, light toffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with light earth, alcohol, semi-ripe fruits, mild leathery fruits, raspberry, some fruitcake. Full bodied with very lively carbonation - until I stir the shit out of the beer to calm it down some, at which point the carbonation softens up and the beer’s nuances become a bit more apparent. Warm finish with rich semi-dark fruits, berries especially, and some sweet bread. Not bad but I was hoping for more. Decent depth.
