Rioja vaten blijven wel de meest favoriete vaten om onze Barley Wine op de laten rijpen. De rijping op deze rode wijn vaten in combinatie met de tanines zorgen er voor dat de volle smaak van de wijn goed naar voren komt. De karakteristieke Barley Wine smaken blijven wel overeind al worden deze iets afegezwakt. Een licht droge afdrong maakt het plaatje compleet.

Justičná tasting. Amber color with minimal tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, light caramel, vanilla, apricots, Taste is malty sweet, caramel, spices, apricots.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, vineous wooden barrel notes, medium sweet, light bitter. Full body, malty caramely sweet and bitter finish. Very good.

Brownish color and a white head. Sweet nose, caramel, raisins, honey, Molasse.Taste start with a little boozy flavors, sweet malts, honey, Red wine, Woody cask flavors and a decent dry finish. Nice.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 10.02.2027) im 2024-08 getrunken. Diese Barley Wine ist ähnlich dem Bommen & Granaten Stil von De Molen. Das BA wirkt eher unterschwellig und rundet dieses Ale ab. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden und stimmig mit seinen Aromem von Trockenfrüchten und feiner Süsse.

A red-brown beer, a head is quite small and beige. Aroma has dried fruits, apricot, caramel, vanilla, light barrel. Taste has raisin, prune, caramel, some alcohol. Almost full bodied, not stickyness. Too rough, at leas as young.

33cl bottle at tasting. Poured mahogany in color. Plummy, boozy with light red wine notes. Full bodied. Quite pleasant but feeling the booze a bit too much.

330 ml bottle. Pours a reddish mahogany with light head. Aromas of cherry, orange, caramel and sweet toasted malts. Flavors of toffee, oak, cherry, and candi sugar with soft vinous notes after warming up. Sweet and sticky. Very de Molen. Very good.

Op tap bij Borefts '22. Amber kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Vanille, rode wijn, licht zuurtje, rozijntjes, hout, caramel, bitterzoet, dik. Volle body. Lekker.

Tap. Deep amber color with off-white head. Aroma is raisins, orange nectar, definite vineous wood character. Taste is again juicy nectar, sweet but great character. Thick oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very good, beautiful Barleywine!
