Yarrow and St. John's wort complement the bitterness profile of Tettnanger hops with herbal notes. Lager yeast allows for pure maltiness to be highlighted, which wraps around the strong alcohol backbone. A Baltic pagan take on a German classic.

Small yellowish head over hazy orange beer. Sharp pharmaceutical nose - the yarrow and St John's wort, I suppose - and some not-quite-pale malts. Tart, overly herbal - pharmaceutical. Sharp flavour from the herbs. There's a bit unripe banana as well. Medium bodied, slick, well-carbonated. Sorry guys, but for me this is something from a brown bottle on a pharmacists' shelf. Good for the heart, not for the tongue. Purchased from Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.

Smell- weak to medium, herbal, malt, caramel, grass, and more herbal tones. Foam- Thin, herbal tones, malt, faint caramel, sweetness, grass. Head is medium-sized white in color. Appearance - brewer bottle cap, simple but somewhat interesting label. Clear orange amber, weak carbonation. From - pint Taste - malt, sweetness, herbal tones, weak hops, faint bitter tones. Nice herbal beer, sweetness is a tiny bit to the oddness, but it is just in the level that I don't actually mind. Not bad.

--Bottled at Stigbergets Fot, Stockholm -- Clear amber, small head. Intense floral, herbal nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some bready malt. Perfumy flavour reminiscent of trampling through pastures on a warm summer day, presume that is the yarrow. Interesting flavour, and pretty good base beer, but getting quite one dimensional as the yarrow dominates completely. Herbal bitter finish.

250ml tap @Labietis, Riga. Clear bronze body, ring at the rim of the glass. No lacing or head. Herbal both in smell and taste. Flowers, malts, and some yeast and bitterness. Taste is better than the smell. Quite rich. As always, Labietis offers something different, interesting, and complex. Lingers! Reminds a bit of Rigas balzams. Try this! Looking forward to more reviews.
