(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 16 Feb 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with coffee, dark chocolate, citrus and mint. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, grapefruit, pine needles, mint and a generous citric/piney bitterness. Almost full body, quite dry. Tasty and well made black IPA, with a generous hop character. Very nice.

Can picked up at Sterk, Amsterdam, at home 21st April 2023. Pours black. Aroma is very roasty, chocolate and cocoa, aromatic. Taste is bitter, roasted malts, cocoa, citrus and pine and aromatic. Very nice BIPA

33cl Blik van De Laat. Rating beperkt tot 2 kleine slokken aangezien iemand binnen het huishouden het nodig vond mn glas om te gooien. Hopelijk komt het nog tot een re-rate. Koffie, tabak, redelijk hoppig, wat grapefruit, hint van bessen, wat caramel, chocolade, bittere finish. Medium body. Re-rate, vol blik dit keer. Wat zachter dan eerder, chocolade, fruitig, soepel en toch ook bitter, licht herbaal. Prima.

On tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam on 18th November 2022. Thick, deep sepia with tan foam and plenty of lacing. Coffee roast malt aroma. Bitter chocolate coffee and hints of sour fruits in-mouth. A bitter finish with plenty of roastiness. Zingy mouthfeel and a lot of body.

33cl can from AH Verzetstraat supermarket in Koog aan de Zaan in Netherland. Head is big, tanned, good retention. Colour is black, opaque. Aroma is rich dark malts, orange, grapefruit, chocolate, roasted tones, bit herbal. Taste is full malty base, orange, grapefruit, roasted tones, tropical fruits, bit coffee, pine resin touch, chocolate, long lasting bitterness, medium carbonation, very nice for the style, enjoyed.
