Bottled, thx Fil! Dark amber body, off-white head. Smooth aroma, malty, peaty, light paint thinner. Lean peaty taste, some stone fruit... hmm... can't say I enjoyed it light this.

Bottle picked up from Die Bierothek Regensburg and consumed at home Sunday 5th November 2023, listening to Tom Robinson and then Stuart Maconie on 6Music. We had smoked and BBQd Asian Pork Ribs tonight. Pours mid brown with a large off white edging towards light beige head. The aroma suggests sweetness to follow and it does, but back to the nose there is a little peaty edge, slight boozy vapours, it's a nice nose. It really is quite sweet in the mouth but then I was expecting this, some soft creaminess, a little oaky wood, whisky pops in but doesn't outstay its welcome, though Loz who isn't a fan of this would probably argue otherwise. Nice beer.
