Bottle, thx Fil. Darker golden body, bit hazy, off-white head. Yeasty, caramelly aroma, sour, oxidized citrus, weird. Lean dry caramelly taste, light dry fruit, hoppy slightly, alcoholic warmth, urgh.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed Saturday 25th February 2023 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. Loz made Thai Spring Rolls, we’ve also made Untraditional Shepherd‘s Pies and I made a Thai Green Curry and we've just had a Toblerone Ice Cream. Pours mid amber, excellent clarity, large white head. This has got a kick, some oomph here, strong, hoppy, some bitterness, at times it feels like a very sprightly Barley Wine. Fruity, clean but with a big boost.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before December 2032. Hazy, golden amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, intensely fruity-floral, gently yeasty and slightly vinous aroma of apricot, pear, clove, gooseberry, tangerine and a touch of sparkling wine. Quite sweet, gently bitter, minimally sourish, fairly fruity-floral, gently yeasty and a little vinous taste of tangerine, pear, clove, honey, gooseberry, hay and sparkling wine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, boozy, almost peppery and only slightly dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Interesting beer, quite tasty but too boozy and harsh in the finish, also rather sweet for a bière brut. Still a solid take on that still rather rare style.

Heller alkoholischer Beginn. Trocken hefig, weiche Bitterkeit, die zum Ende etwas stärker wird. Hellmalzig, weich, mittellanger Abgang. OK. 9/10/9/9/11/9
