Bottle 75cl.[ Courtesy of henrikb ]. Clear medium to dark red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity - berry, tobacco, light notes of chocolate, vanilla and alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, and a light alcoholic finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Aroma and flavor is very nice but something makes it hard to drink ! [20090710]

Bottle, 2005 vintage. First off, thanks Toby for sharing this treat! A bit murky brown/copper pour with a very thin head. Nose is fruity, light barrel notes and overall rather sweet. Very silky. Tastes fruity with bourbon accents, a light sweetness into a sour and tart finish. Very much an A+ brew.

Brewed in 2005, 2006 bottle release. 750 ml bottle generously shared by beastiefan2k. Pour is mostly clear, ruby brown with a small off white head. Aroma is soft malt, baking bread; very engaging and gentle nose. Taste is the malt up front - sweet and soft, some mild wood in the middle, finishing with a touch of heat. Really no signs of age on this one, other than the softening of the malt. Palate is silky, medium to heavy bodied - light soft carbonation. Nice one, thanks for sharing this Eugene, one of the highlights of the night. (9,4,8,3,16 - 4.0)

750 ml bottle courtesy of willblake. Pour is hazy ruby cordovan brown. Fizzy off white head falls fairly fast leaving behind only specs of lacing. Aroma of stale cardboard and some vinegar notes initially. As it warms, some currant fruit, honey and sweet raisins comes out. Also, the wood becomes very present Taste is very soft, floral, sweet honey raisin fruit and some alcohol heat towards the end. There is a bit of woody saltiness in the taste as well, along with mild black pepper. Interesting and complex. Thanks for sending me this one way back when, Jon, just off the charts generosity. Shared by Stine. Thanks Eben. This is a very thick and heavy beer. Brown color. The aroma has malt and caramel, as well as some oak. A little salty in the flavor, but mostly sweet with brown sugar, molassas, and malt. Incredibly rich and thick. Very nice.

From bottle, no 19 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy brown to light orange and with a fully diminshed white head. Berry fruity aroma into a whiskey like aroma. Flavour is quite sweet and dried fruity. Almost syrup like feel and flavour. Ends with a lingering sweet fruity tone. Nice.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with an orange-tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood and vanilla with an underlying acidity. The flavor is sweet wooy with notes of prunes, over ripe fruit, vanilla, and some hops, leading to a dry finish with some acidity showing up. The alcohol burns slightly in the throat. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Cloudy dark amber-red color. Strong oaky aroma, mellow, with sweet tobacco. Sweet brew, with an interesting woody and vanilla flavor, full malty, with a light sourness that I have to understand if it’s nice or disturbing. Inprecise, but overall, deeply pleasant for me.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of pineypower. Hazy, amber golden with a lively, beige head leaving some laces. Very sweet vanilla and bourbon notes. Quite a full body, a little low in carbonation, but rather high in extremely sweet and sugary caramel notes. Lots of bourbon in the finish, but absolutely no bitterness. The sweetness is a bit overwhelming making this a bit out of balance, but it’s still a lovely beer. 301107
