500ml bottle. Hazy dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, frothy, white head. Spicy yeasty and wheaty aroma, a fruity note of orange, some lemon, orange bickie. Taste is unspecific tart, minimally sweet wheat malty, a touch of orange. OK.

Shared with heavy, brought to Croatia by some guests of his (thanks!). Correct weizen appearance. Nice aroma, fresh orange rind, slightly tangy, but in a nice way. Lovely fruitiness overall. Very light chewed up bubblegum. Nice and complex. The taste has a nice sweetish malty backbone, very slightly dusty, even carrying vague notes of chocolate and some light earthiness. Mild bubblegum, some tanginess, superbly drinkable. Mild lacticity. Superbly drinkable. Only some vague bitterness in the aftertaste slightly detracts from the impressive overall experience.

Draught in Passau. Hazy golden color with medium soft white head. Aroma of banana,yeast. Taste of banana and wheat. Sweet finish. A nice one.

Average hefeweisse from a regional brauerei. Not bad, but hits all the right notes fro the style. Golden color, good foam on pour, and a good amount of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. All the right flavors are present, nothing overpowers or distracts. The local supermarket has had a special on Bavarian beers, so my guess is that these normally are not found outside of their immediate area.

bottle from Degenhart Passau. Cloudy orange-golden colour, small white head. Yeasty and fruity nose, slightly fruity in the flavour with a rustic, grainy character. Smooth palate with a nice fruity touch in the background.

Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, fruity, banana, yeast. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, fruity, yeast.
