Bottle from Sugaya, aged 2-3 years shared at Ajen’s farewell party. 7.1% It pours a cloudy amber, crazy gusher. The nose is sour, fruity berries. Very smooth full bodied beer. Earthy, caramel, a bit musty, berry notes giving me blueberry vibes. Great beer. In the nose it is quite sour, but in the mouth it is incredibly smooth.

500 ml bottle. Pours a fairly bright dark reddish color with a medium white head, some slow creeping. A fresh interesting nose of berries, some Flemish sour like notes. The flavor is more fresh earthy tones with big berries, pine, some sweet brown malts, caramel. I really enjoy this. The cowberries are unique and tasty. A bit like sweeter cranberries.

500 ml bottle. Bottled 4/29/12; about 11 months old. Pours murky amber with a medium beige-red head with good retention. Aroma is funky, fruity, brown sugar, dusty; smells good, but it’s not all that forceful. Taste is a little bit sweet, a little tart and savory with a dry finish. A little watery. Mouthfeel is foamy, body medium. Not all that much flavor, really. Not bad. I thought it would be better, though.
