Bottle. Dark brown color, pours a steady head. Lots of oak and some dried fruit in the aroma. Oak in the flavor, followed by a malty sweetness and dried tropical fruit. An alcohol kick in the aftertaste. Well balanced and likeable beer.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with huge gushing head. Aromas of caramel, candi sugar and sweet malts. Flavors of brown sugar syrup, toasted malts, and very light bitter hops. Still quite sweet even after a some aging.

50cl bottle, imagine I pop the cap and it starts its volcano impression and sprays beer all over the place creating a mighty mess. It pours dark slightly murky copper with a towering tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy rye bread wort as well as some mild vague hoppy notes. A few whiffs later and the wort takes on a brown sugar coated soggy prunes character. The taste begins sweet with brown sugar and sweet malts mixing with ripe cherries and prunes quickly moves into an earthy sweetened black tea note. Into the finish these flavors intensify into a sort of nectar goodness. This started off poorly with the messy un-capping but I am really enjoying the flavor. The play between sweet fruity esters, malts and tea leaf like earthiness works very well.

Bottle at Rene’s house. Thanks. Reddish violet appearance with a big, brown head. Somewhat fruity, a bit tart, slightly funky, caramel, toasty oak aroma. Grape, tangy plum, somewhat tart, toasty malty, fairly sweet flavor. Interesting beer.

Bottle @ home. Clear amber / red color, large beige head. Nice smell of malts, pine and hops. Taste malts, sweet, lightly hops and fruits. Little bit too sweet to be really good in my opinion. Decent sweet-bitter finish. High carbo, medium to full body.

Draught at The Green Lion Inn, Malmö
Hazy amber color. The aroma is a bit cheesy, yeasty, moldy. Good body strength, round; sweet caramel and flavor; more than the expected oak and vanilla, I get cream and cheese rinds. Well, I like sweet and malty beers, but this one is surely weird.
