BAM BIÉRE SERIES
Bam is an Extra Special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals.
Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.
Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a small frothy off white head that lasts leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is strong earth, funk, wheat, barnyard. Medium mouthfeel with a nice light tart wheat, earthy hop, and nice sour finish. Enjoyed this one.

0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. When popping the cap the beer pops up up from the bottle and gives us a greaving "hello". It pours a cloudy orange-ish body with a nice big and lasting off-white head. On the aroma this is light funky-sour with lot's of sour red berries. Also something that reminds me of wheat and palms. Quite interesting and complex. It has a high carbonation level and a thin almost watery texture. The flavor is mildly sour and quite bitter. Light woody-grassy also this one. Ends of really grassy-bitter - almost like fresh cut grass - in a watery finish. Interesting flavors, a bit lack in the body, but nice. 16.06.2012

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled 4/16/2012. Pours moderately hazy orange amber color with a big 3 finger dense and rocky off white head with insane retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of green apple, lemon zest, orange zest, pear, grass, hay, pepper, herbal, brett funk, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and fruity/spicy yeast/brett notes; with good strength. Taste of green apple, pear, lemon zest, orange zest, bread, pepper, clove, grass, hay, herbal, brett funk, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Good amount of tart earthy spiciness/bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, citrus, pepper, clove, hay, grass, herbal, brett funk, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hops with fruity/spicy yeast/brett flavors with a fair amount of malt presence; with a moderately dry finish with no cloying flavors. High carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very crisp and prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a damn nice hoppy saison style. All around good balance and complexity of hops and fruity/spicy yeast and brett flavors; and extremely crisp and smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
