Tap at Sugar Maple. This is a great beer. Barky(?) clean and smooth medium body. Mineral delicate hops, some soapy peppery tones, and some tropical tones. A complete delight to drink, incredibly sessionable. Mellow on the palate, with an almost English feel I suppose. Lots of depth. Classic, yet quirky. Great.

Bottle - Citrus lemon/lime, tropical fruit and some funky yeast. Effervescent with a foamy (bottle almost blew up) white head and cloudy orange. Lemon and lime in the flavor as well, with a nice bitterness and very dry. Grassy and some spicy hops that play nicely with the other flavors. A nice flavorful patio beer.

A hazed dark amber with a thick frothy mocha to brown head. In aroma, a nice grassy malt with Brett notes, musky and smooth. In mouth, a nice grassy and raspy malt with light Brett, a bit watery. Tasted in Oct. 2012. Batch 288-289.

750 ml bottle purchased at Andy’s in Rochester, Minnesota. Batch 753, bottled 3-17-2011. The pour is a hazed orange copper with a billowing four inch light tan head, that falls rocky and slow. The aroma is the signature Jolly Pumpkin barnyard funk, really Bretty. Under the Brett (a fair bit) is some toasted malt and an herbal element. The taste is big barnyard leather Brett, then a bit of tart lemon citrus, followed by toasted and tea malt notes. The finish shows a bit of dry resin. The palate is light bodied, very active fine carbonation, and the leather dry funk finish. Interesting, tasty.

Bottle from GBBF 2012, drunk at home. I’m quite looking forward to drinking this. Lots of foam, I had to pour this into 3 glasses. Hazy brown amber with big large foaming beige head. Some hoppy funk on aroma. Dry aroma. Some brett I would say. Some fruit from the malts. It’s like a bitter made in west flanders. Lovely and interesting. Bizarre but interesting. Lots of Brett yeast. Quite dry. Well I liked it.
