This robust, dark brown ale gets its rich flavor from seven different malts and three types of hops. The addition of hand-toasted oats and a generous portion of molasses give the Pullman Nut Brown Ale an incredible smoothness and quaffability.

Bottle thanks to ditmier. Pours out dark brown topped with a tan head. Aroma was sweet with plenty molasses, coffee, roast malts and some nuts. Taste was much as the aroma with the sweetness leading the way. Molasses, roast, some cocoa, and coffee.

Bomber courtesy of Secret Santa thetomG. Thanks! Pours a very dark brown color with a thin offwhite head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of roasted malts, nutty notes, molasses. The taste is nutty notes, light roast, leafy hops with a bitter finish as well as some sugary notes, from the molasses I presume, in the finish. Medium bodied. Decent beer, and pretty dark for a brown ale.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours clear mahogany with tan head. The aroma is roasty malts, some pine hops, hop resin, caramel and crystal malts. The taste has a pleasing sweet maltiness combined with chocolate malts and sweet caramel candy followed by some malt roastiness and pine hops. Not a brown ale but very nice stuff.

Bottle thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum. Pours black with a very small brown head that dissipated nearly immediately. Aroma has notes of roasted coffee, oats, and molasses. Flavor begins with roasted coffee notes, but sweeter molasses notes take over towards the finish.

03/05/2011 Rerate: Sample at the brewpub. Much more enjoyable fresh on draft. Pours brown with a medium tan head. Partial sheet of lacing. Nice toasty malt aroma with notes of coffee. Flavors of sweet malt, nuts, coffee and a touch of smoke. Roasty malt and nutty finish. Pretty good.
02/22/2010 - 3.4: Thanks to JaBier for sharing a bottle. The beer is a dark reddish-brown color with a thin tan head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Sweet toasted nuts and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, nuts and chocolate. Very low bitterness in the background. The finish is soft and sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. This bottle may be a bit past its prime but this is still a decent Brown Ale.
