Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 24th September 2022. Deep sepia with tan foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense hazelnut aroma. Nutty roast malt in-mouth, and a lingering finish of nuttiness and cherry fruits. Light body and a smooth mouthfeel. Quite a surprise and delicious.

Gravity cask at the Blue Boar as part of their 2022 North Yorkshire festival. Chestnut brown, nicely translucent with a ring of beige/khaki head. Nice little nutty smell: hazelnut, chestnut, a bit of forest floor. Sweet taste, more nut, some light woodsmoke, plum and some vinous notes. Strange almost plastic off-nite in the finish. Interesting but it doesn't come together quite like I'd like... some unobtrusive bitterness rests on the tongue. Light body, no carbonation.

Cask at York Beer & Cider Festival 2022. Dark brown amber colour, bubbly beige foam head and aroma of powdered chocolate. Taste is roasty, malt, chocolate, earthy, with nutty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasty mild finish. Quite drinkable.
