De nieuwe Blondie is een zacht blond bier met een frisse kleur en licht moutige aroma’s. Een bier, evenals Zatte Tripel en Natte Dubbel, gebrouwen op de Belgische leest met gerst, tarwe en haver én de typische eigen IJ-gist. Die maakt het assortiment nét wat meer compleet, vinden we. Hopelijk ga je er net zo van genieten als wijzelf.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een goudgeel met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en hop. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en gist achtig met een zacht hoppige afdronk.

Thuis uit een blikje. Een zeer matig blond bier, lijkt meer op een iets steviger pils. Goudgeel, witschuim. Zeker niet “een tikkie speciaal”.

Op tap bij chickenbar. Gouden kleur, witte kraag. Licht fruitig, iets floraal, hint van citrus, vrij bitter, verder weinig spannend maar wel stukken beter dan de eerdere versie. Lichte body.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before March 2025. Slightly hazy, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy, moderately fruity-floral aroma of banana, lemon peel, some vanilla and a touch of clove. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and moderately fruity-floral taste of banana, vanilla, honey, clove, lemon peel and pineapple, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Blond, nicely fresh and fruity.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, lot of tiny bubbles, tall frothy white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma sweet malts, peach, apricot, yeast, some honey, spicy notes. Fruity taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, peach, apricot, some coriande, sugar, yeasty notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, mild sweet and light bitter aftertaste, yeasty notes linger on, sugary, way too sweet for a Belgian blonde, okay.
