It is amazing how much one can get away with by having a pretty face and a moist snout. As the owner of one of Belgium's best beer bars, Billie may come across as a handsome and distinguished gentleman, but do not be fooled! Behind all that floof and soft ears lies a dark secret. While ”Jack, The Ripper”, had a thing for sex workers, “Billie, the Butcher”, will lure beer tickers in with a damn fine tap and bottle selection only to spike their drinks and have his way with anyone that shows more interest in rating than in drinking and having a good time. His knives are as sharp as his contempt for those who have forgotten the spirit of sharing brews and laughs among friends, and dare you having a printed evaluation chart or a yellow screen glowing through your phone and you shall experience first-hand (or maybe hands first!) the blade, the blood, the pain. Much like Untappd badges, this sadistic little fucknugget collects his own trophies, and word on the street is he has even created his own app to rate dismemberments, called 'AmpuRate'. Try and tick this brew at his home and you may just become another score among many.

Bottled. Hazy goldeny amber colour witha mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, smoe floral and fruity tones with mild pine to it. Flavour is spruce, some floral and fruity hops with mild biscuity tones. Long floral aftertaste, and also has a wee bit of bitterness to it.

Draught Stable white head over hazy orange-yellow beer. Very aromatic C-hops, grapes, passion fruit, citrus, pomegranate, pink grapefruit. Bitter, grapefruit, orangepeel, and a little heat. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Quite good NEIPA, Amager keeps rocking.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of mango, citrus, passion fruit and resin. Pours hazy dark golden color with large creamy off-white head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet malty, refreshing citrusy and resinous, following is herbal and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth but dry, while finish is heavy bitter. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Killer hoppiness…

33cl bottle at Belgian Beergeeks/Brewver summer tasting at Tim's house. Thanks Siegfried. BB 06/2023, batch# 2730.

Can at the brewery. Big hoppy aroma, stone fruit, light tropical notes, light mint. Medium body, some citric juicy stone fruit notes, but big bitterness, some light oatiness... and a second later the juiciness takes over again and it makes sense again! And then the bitterness kicks in. It's a bit of a ride, Billie is, but I reckon the doge deserved it. Some residual sweetness to round the story. Nice, nice indeed!
