Tap @ De 2 Wezen Hengelo. Blonde, cloudy. melon apple and berries in the aroma. Hint of yoghurt. Yeasty flavor with loads of fruit (apple, pear, berries, melon). Flowery yeasty aftertaste. I don’t like the house yeast of this brewery. Or is the beer left too long on the sediment? I can’t get past it.

(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 23 Feb 2013) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, bread, grass and hay. Malty taste with notes of bread, citrus, grass, a slightly soapy wheat flavour and a certain lemony bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and fairly tasty. Hardly exciting, but quite decent.

Cloudy gold beer, small white head. Dry crisp palate. There some pleasant fruit but also odd dusty yeast with a hint of soap. Finishes semi dry. Wonky! 2.4

30th October 2013
Aged version. Clear gold beer, little white head. Lactose sweet creamy malt. Light tangy orange, lesser dried fruits. Finishes soft. Mellowed nicely!

300ml bottle. Minimally cloudy browny golden colour with average bubbly white head. Artificially sweet and strong alcoholic aroma, fluid gummy bears. Thank god for the fizzy carbonation that keeps one from death by instantaneous agglutination of the digestive tract. Horrible beer.

Hazy yellow color, off-white head. Smell is ok, taste not really what I like, some spices or herbs maybe? Carbo is pretty good again.

Lacking in smell and taste a bit. Also lacking a bit in body. This being an 8,2% abv beer, i expected a bit more.

11/10/10/11/8/10

Bottle, 8.2%. Yeasty aroma, nicely citric and refreshing. Grapefruity hops. Hazy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sweetish and fruity. There are some soft fruits and refreshing grapefruit hoppiness. Nicely vinous finish.
