Bouteille en importation. Merci à Phil. Accents caramélisés, chocolatés avec notes de mélasse font foi d’un olfactif malté / sucré empreint d’alcool. Mousse de couleur moka, semi-crémeuse qui tient assez bien sur le liquide noir et opaque. L’entrée de bouche se veut chocolatée et légèrement vineuse. On y décèle également des notes de poivre et une légère sensation terreuse en finale. O :6.6 V :4.65 G :6.85 C :4.5 G :14.0 T : 36.6

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of strong chartreuse notes with some anises and chocolate malt notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by strong chartreuse notes with some warming alcohol notes and chocolate malt notes. Body is full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes clearly noticeable. Definitely different with the chartreuse notes and a mix that works better than I would have guessed.

340 ml bottle. Pours black with short whitish head. Aromas of woody chocolate, soft herbal gin and roasted malts. Flavors of herbal liqueur, licorice, and oily roasted malts. I don’t think the chartreuse barrel is a good match for a big stout.

Bottle, 12.2%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, spices, mint and herbs. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, spices, herbs, medium sweet, hop, little dark fruit and a little bitter.
