If One is Good, Then Two is Better! Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic. This brew has twice the things you're looking for, and it's big enough to share with the one you love. And isn't that what it's all about?

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks Shachar. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of honey and resinous hops with some floral hints. Bitter flavor of resinous hops. Medium-bodied.

/11/10/11/10/11

bottle thanks to the brewery reps at RBWG, pours light caramel with a medium light tan head. Aroma is grapefruit through and through. Flavor is toffee and nut malt character with a juicy citrus rind and grapefruit finish that is equally sweet and bitter. Very nice.

A golden amber ale with a thin off white head. A pleasant pungeant hops aroma, floral, mentolated, light mineral notes and tangerine pulp. In mouth, a smooth yet hoppy ale, a bit bilous, grapefruits, alcohol warmth, classic DIPA. On tap at Blue Tusk, August 27, 2010.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, big golden head. Pine, grapefruit, peach aroma - smells like overly perfumed soap at times. Grassy, pine bitterness, estery perfumed. Medium body, resinny ssticky mouthfeel. I am really not that much into the hopbombs anymore - it quickly reaches a level where it just becomes cloying.

Bomber, recommended by the girls at Plaza in Tucson. Golden color, medium off white head, massive lacing. Aroma of fresh spring meadows and grass, subtle pepper. Taste is bitter but not over the top, pine and baseball bat resin. Looong bitter finish. Very nice indeed.

Fairly generic for a California DIPA, but that’s far from a bad thing. The malt is a bit light. The hops come on like a freight train with a combination of bitter citrus and pine/spruce that is definitely enjoyable. It’s a good looking beer, but pretty much all of these DIPAs look good. So, ultimately, it’s a good beer, but there’s no reason to seek it out specifically.

Rather murky light amber with a thin head. Woody, chewy, resiny aroma is fairly indistinct. Rich, resiny bitterness with lots of woody notes. No shortage of crystal malt, as you’d expect from a NoCal DIPA.
