Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel, chocolate and butterscotch in the aroma. Sweet roasty caramelly flavor with apple syrup. Caramelly bitter aftertaste. Tasty brew.

330 ml bottle. Dark copper color with beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, bread, some fruity notes. Sweet and light biter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Deep ruby, amber, brown lasting beige head. Dry malty aroma. more dry malt on flavour. Some spicy dryness on the finish. Went ok with the pasta dish I was eating. Some walnut flavour. OK. Just

Bottle. Pours clear reddish brown, large tan head, some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, grain, caramel, peat. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, peat.

Bouteille 330ml, dégustée au Bistro des Bières Belges à Saint-Hubert. De couleur brune-rouge et claire. Nez malté de caramel toffee sucré, léger de fruits (prunes, traces de raisins) avec des notes de houblon herbeux, de sucre brun, de biscuits et d’alcool. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement crémeuse et aux notes sirupeuses. Goût légèrement fruité (léger de raisins, traces de prunes) accompagné de traces de tabac lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût malté de caramel toffee sucré et légèrement rôti avec des traces de biscuits, de sucre brun et de chocolat noir puis en finale l’on retrouve une moyenne amertume d’alcool doux, léger de houblon herbeux avec des traces de noix asséchantes. Post-goût moyen-long et aux notes sèches, moyennement amer d’alcool doux avec des notes de houblon herbeux, de noix, de rôti et de fruits (moût de raisins). (printemps 2007)

Huge, dark-beige head, over chestnut-coloured beer. (Dark) mushrooms, dark malts, brown candi sugar, bit lactic. Again burnt brown candi sugar, with a little nasty burnt-bitterish edge. No balance, but clashing with the underlying syrupy sweetness, as brown candi syrup. Human sweat warming up. Slick to syrupy, seriously carbonated feel, and in fact finishing empty. Weak, in all aspects.

bouteille, couleur rubis, mousse beige. Arôme malt et caramel, fruité avec encore cette saloperie de maïs qui vient donner au nez et au palais ce goût trop doux. En bouche, je note le malt torréfié, un aspect sucré collant aux lèvres, fruits noirs léger et le maïs qui domine un peu l’expérience. Le tout fini sur une note aigre-douce de fruits noirs. Pas mauvaise, mais reste en dessous de nombreuses autres scotch.
