0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before November 2023. Black with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, fairly smoky, roasty, umami aroma of massive bacon, smoked ham, chocolate and some juniper. Gently sweet, malty, moderately roasty, gently smoky, herbal taste of chocolate, toasted nuts, smoked ham, juniper, blackberry and coffee, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter, smoky finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting beer, smells totally different than it tastes. Still a little disharmonious and rough, not to say unbalanced. Like this kind of beers though.

As branded. If it were labelled imperial stout, it would be thin. But under this category it is slightly lacto-like but has a nice rustic taste and is otherwise clean. Gollem amstelstraat

Bottle. Color: Almost black, dense light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, smoke, juniper, herbal / spicy notes. Taste: Very smooth mouthfeel, roasted malt, subtle smoke and herbal / lightly spicy juniper, light fruity hints of blackberry. Dark chocolate notes. Quite thin, just under medium body. Just under average carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Nice and easy drinkable 'Nordic Porter' with some complexity.
