Draught@EBF2008. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, strong roasted malts and also some slight stinging alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, sweet malts, coffee and mild roasted notes. Aftertaste gets bigtime roasted malts meeting alcohol. Even though the alcohol hints it’s a quite nice and wellbalanced beer.

(Draught@EBF). Dark ruby, almost opaque color, small head. Licorice in the nose. Very solid, tasty porter. A bit sweetish, good malt profile, some licorice and coffee. Nothing extreme here, good! I like it and reserves a title "the best non-extreme beer @EBF 2008".

On tap at John Bull Pub, Ålborg. Dark brown, close to black body with a small, creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, mocha, coffee and bitter chocolate. Flavor is biter coffee, chocolate, light burnt malt and fruity. The finish has some kind of nutty bitterness. This is s really great beer, lots of flavors and quite refreshing.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen.++ Black, small beige head. Roasty coffee aroma. Dryish and heavily roasty. Medium bodied with some dark chocolate. The mouthfeel seem to consist of a solid core with mushy edges. Some asphalt lingers in the finish. A solid porter with lots of things going for it.
