Cask at the European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A clear, golden beer with a small off-white head. Floral and lightly citrusy hops in the aroma, leaving the malts in the far back. The same goes for the flavor, where pale malts are left in the background, and a lovely floral and citrusy hoppyness dominates. Medium body. An easy to drink and quenching beer leaving you wanting more. (080912)

(Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2008) Amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, slightly citric nose with dried apricots, orange, citrussy hops and bready malt. Fruity taste with notes of dried apricots, orange, a hint of sulphur, toffee and citrussy hops in the finish. Very fresh (second sample from the cask) and nice beer. Score: 7/4/7/3/13=3.4. Rerate: (Bottle, 9 Sep 2012) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of wild berries, ryvita, treacle, caramel and grassy hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with caramel, red berries, apricots, treacle-toffee and a mild, herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. The bottled version doesn’t quite reach up to the fresh cask conditioned, but it’s still quite nice.

Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Clear bronze colour, minimal head. Soapy floral nose. Fairly sweet with light-medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel . Some spicy hops, but also butter and boiled vegetables. Medium bitterness. Unimpressive for being from Oceanbryggeriet.
