Tap at Hinkelstein in Marburg. Dark amber body with a lasting small slightly off white head. Dusty malty nose, liight soap. Light malty grainy taste, vague soap. Dirt ordinary.

Bottle. Chestnut brown, offwhite foam. Light herbal roasted malt nose. Fruity base flavor, top fermented? roasted malt, herbal notes (juniper, rosemary), dry clayish notes. Sparkly, medium full body, dry mouthfeel. Caramel and honey retronasal. Very interesting aromatics which set it apart from the standard Dunkel.

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small, frothy, white head. Grainy aroma with a nuttily touch, decent hoppy overtones. Taste is grainy, decently caramel malty, a nuttily touch, just hints of dry to bitter hop.

Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 10/2012)
Dark clear amber color, good off-white head. Toasted sugar, malts in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Also flavor has sweet toasted sugar and then grassy hoppyness. Papery maltyness. Quite bulkish feeling.

50cl bottle @ home. Clear orange to copper color, small to medium sized soapy white head. Smell malts, dust, cardboard. Taste malts, a bit sweetish, old and dusty. Low body, low carbo.

Bottled (From bierzwerg.de). Ambery brown colour with a huge off-white to beige head which leaves some slight lace. Aroma is a bit nutty with some fruity and mild toasted notes as well. Flavour is bready, and quite sweet malts with mild nutty and floral notes. Quite refreshing. Nice wooden and resiny notes in the aftertaste.

Smell of malts, caramel and rubber. Clear bronze colour with light brown head. Aroma of metal. Slightly bitter with roasted aftertaste. Gets sweeter with rising temperature.
